Affiliate relationships

We have no active affiliate partnerships. We do not currently earn commissions or other compensation from any company if you click a link or use a service after reading this site. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page and place a clear note next to each affected link, not only here.

Advertising

The site may show advertising, such as Google AdSense, once it is enabled. Advertising is separate from our articles and from the calculator. Advertisers do not decide what we write, and ads do not change how results are calculated. Ads are not endorsements by us.

How we write content

Content is reviewed by Numerlyn LLC before it is published.

We explain methods in plain language and show worked examples with their arithmetic so you can check them.
Where we cite a definition we name the source, such as the Cornell Law School Legal Information Institute for net and gross lease definitions.
We do not publish market rents. Example numbers are illustrations, not market data.
Terms with no standard definition, such as modified gross, are labeled that way.

Independence

We do not accept payment to recommend landlords, brokers, listing sites, or other services, and we do not review products in exchange for compensation. The articles are educational and do not recommend any specific company.

Corrections

If you find an error, email us with the page and what looks wrong. We will review it and update the page when a correction is warranted.
